Established in October 2016, Leopard Rest Camp is a budget friendly campsite just outside Lake Mburo National Park. We aim to provide guests with an affordable alternative to camping inside the park where guests still find themselves completely immersed in nature. Spend your days on horseback, mountain biking alongside families of zebra, or just chill in our restaurant with a panoramic view and a cold drink.

We have 17 full time staff members who are dedicated to ensuring that your stay is exactly as you dreamed. Coming to us from all areas of Uganda, this incredible team will assist you with everything you need, from arranging game drives and transport, to catering to any dietary requirement you have, and finding the name of that beautiful bird you just saw. You can even learn some local phrases if you wish, just ask Alice!

At Leopard Rest Camp, we strive to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. We are proud to be fully solar powered, we work with a local nonprofit to recycle all plastic waste, and we compost onsite! Nearly everything you see at the camp has been handmade by our staff, using local natural materials, or upcycled items that would have been rubbish. Many of our veggies and herbs are picked from our own garden, and we support our local farmers in purchasing the items we do not grow on our own. If you join us, please help our environmental effort by bringing your own reusable water bottle to fill in our restaurant, or recycling in one of the many appointed bins around the grounds. If we want to keep enjoying the beautiful nature, we must take care of it!
