The food was amazing and luckily we enjoyed the camp fire by a star filled sky. Probably best budget place in Lake Mburo (…)
Great place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. The food is really good! Clear skies at night give an impressive view of the Milky Way, and there’s a great view of the sunset too. You can drop down the hill to see zebra, Uganda kob, warthogs and all sort of other wildlife.
Perfect place to enjoy great food, great sunsets and experience great game drives!
A quiet and relaxing place with an unforgetable night sky.
A great new place at Lake Mburo National Park. Clean and comfortable accommodations in a quiet setting adjacent to the park. The food was delicious with three-course meals. Saw wild animals (antelopes and zebras) on the camp grounds early in the morning.
Perfect place to relax so close to nature! We had a great time lazy camping here. The mattresses were comfortable, sheets and bathrooms and showers were clean, I slept like a log. We enjoyed the walking & biking safaris, and had a great time kicking back watching the sunset at night. The staff even made a huge bonfire while they were roasting chicken for our dinner, we had a great time sitting around and chatting with everyone. The three-course meals were hard to beat. Great location and a great price.
Promising new spot, good camping. Set on a pretty grassy slope/hill with plenty of zebra, impala and Ankole cattle around the place and just next to the Rwakobo Rock this was a good place to stay for me. They offer camping with nice (flat and grassy) grounds. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food was good. In general, its more primitive (and much smaller scale!) than Rwakobo which allows for a more homely and relaxed atmosphere.
Great location, great food, great staff. We spent a weekend at Leopard Rest Camp and had the most wonderful time. We were able to walk out from the campsite and see lots of animals as well as the stunning scenery. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a problem with the tents we brought with us and the staff were incredibly kind in helping us resolve the issue (you can also hire their tents which looked like a great option!). We also enjoyed the camp fire in the evenings. We would really recommend this campsite!
Perfect place to relax from and a great location. The place has a good view and nature to relax from and well located and is one of the great places to camp in. Their food is delicious and well prepared so you can’t regret camping there. We enjoyed the place because of its nature, staff and the food.
Cool camp. The tents are very clean and comfortable, as is the open-air showers and toilets. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the camp and there are many young people there. The food was exceptionally good and the service was very attentive. In the evening has also made a big campfire. Nash is a wonderful host and always there for questions or a little chat. The camp and the Lake Mburo NP are highly recommended for a stopover if you want coming from Kampala/Entebbe to the gorillas.
Excellent campsite in ecological environment. Perfect location near entrance gate of Lake Mburo NP, very good restaurant, private showers in open nature (great!) and most of all very friendly and helpful staff! We arrived quite late in the evening but still they prepared a great meal for us. It’s a basic campsite but that’s exactly the charm of it!
Tranquility, close to the park. We have here two nights camped in our own tent! The campsite is very quiet and has a nice view. They all generate electricity with solar panels so no generator which disturbed the peace. It is a beautiful experience to deliver the morning to shower outside with all the bird sounds around you. We would definitely come back here.
Highly recommended. This was the first camp on our Uganda camping trip and it also was the best! We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the extremely friendly staff, the good food and the clean outdoor bathrooms. In the evenings we sat by the camp fire with cold drinks in our hand and enjoyed the African sky over us.
The best experience ever. Would recommended it to everyone. We stayed at the Leopard Rest Camp and it was a dream come true.
