Leopard Rest Camp, Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda

Walking Safaris

Take a walk on the wild side! You can see it all on our nature walk around the local area. Hike up to a stunning lookout point and walk next to zebra, impala, waterbuck, warthogs, and more. The amount of game animals and birds on display makes this activity a crowd favorite.

Check out our Activity Prices page for more details.

Get up close and personal with nature and explore Lake Mburo National Park on foot! Our half-day walking safari starts from Camp and takes you into the park for great game viewing. There’s plenty of time to go at your own pace and enjoy the animals. Don’t forget some sturdy shoes and the camera!

Check out our Activity Prices page for more details.

The success of our camp would not be possible without the cooperation and support of the local Nayonkole community. Please feel free to interact with our staff that come from the area; they are happy to share with you about the Nayonkole culture anytime you’re at the camp.

Our community walk is the perfect way to get to visit and learn about the Nayonkole culture. You’ll get to visit a homestead, learn how they construct their houses, and how they manage their livestock. You’ll even get to milk a cow!

Come with lots of questions and please dress modestly to be respectful since we are guests in their culture. 20% of the fee goes directly to the local host.
