Leopard Rest Camp, Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda

Bird Watching

Did you know that you can see half of Africa’s bird species right here in Uganda? And the area around Lake Mburo National Park has 315 recorded species alone! There are plenty that make their home at Leopard Rest Camp; it’s hard to miss all their sweet singing in the morning as the sun rises.

This area is the only place in Uganda to spot some very rare winged beauties, including the Shoebill Stork and the African Finfoot. Sometimes we even have a surprise appearance by a red-breasted Barbet at the camp.

Learn in-depth about all the different bird species with our knowledgeable guide. They will take you around the local area and help you spot all kinds of bird species and identify their calls.
